Gemini gets a small-business hub for marketing and finances
The short version
Google is adding a business hub to the Gemini app, its AI assistant. It can produce marketing images in your brand style and turn financial records into charts. Google says it is rolling out worldwide to all Gemini app users over the coming days.
What happened
The new page gathers branding, finance and customer insights in one place. Gemini can also link to Google tools and other apps, including Google Business Profile, Google Ads, Google Workspace, Canva, Shopify, Wix, Xero and Zoho.
You can upload your website, fonts, colours or brand kit once. Gemini remembers that style and uses Google's image model, Nano Banana 2.1, to create visuals for product launches or campaigns.
It can also read spreadsheets, receipts and purchase records and turn them into charts and interactive models. Google's example is a ceramics seller in France who, Google says, saves two to three hours every day on writing product descriptions, newsletters and social media posts.
Why it matters to you
For a small business without a designer or bookkeeper, this could cut the time spent on posters, social posts and understanding your own numbers. Because the style is saved, your material should look more consistent.
Check any figures it produces yourself before relying on them.
What to do
When the hub appears in your Gemini app, try it with one small task, such as a social post in your brand style. Compare any chart it makes with your original figures.
Before linking apps like Shopify or Xero, decide what business information you are comfortable sharing, and connect only what you need.
