Problem
Most of Blumenkorb's orders come from people who aren't in Swakopmund at all: overseas family and friends sending flowers to someone local. Standard online shops assume the buyer and the recipient are the same person, and they don't handle local delivery zones or Namibian payments well. The shop needed a way to take these orders online without the back-and-forth.
Idea
Build the shop around how Blumenkorb's customers actually order: a sender in one place, a recipient in another. Keep the sender's account separate from the delivery details, price delivery automatically by area, and give the owner one place to run the whole shop day to day.
Build
A custom online shop with customer accounts, order history and printable invoices. Checkout separates the sender from the recipient, with name, address and card message, and offers pickup or delivery across Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, Henties Bay and surrounding areas, with fees applied automatically and waived on larger orders. Payments run through a secure local payment gateway, and an order is only marked paid once the payment is confirmed. Behind it, an admin dashboard manages products, orders, delivery pricing and event quote requests.
Result
Blumenkorb now runs its entire shop online: customers anywhere in the world can order, pay and send flowers to someone in the Erongo region, and the owner manages products, orders and delivery pricing herself, without touching code. Every payment is verified before an order goes ahead, and the whole system is monitored and backed up nightly.
